Nikon’s stock price went up after Essilor Luxottica raised its ownership in Nikon to more than 10%. The French eyewear group (parent company of Ray-Ban) now owns a 10.75% stake in Nikon, up from a 9.6% before (it used to be 5.1% last year), and they could buy as much as 20% under Japan’s Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act:

RAW video recording is a key feature of the Nikon ZR. To do RAW video (R3D NE) recording, REDCODE RAW (R3D NE) requires at least 1TB for 35min or preferably 2TB for 70 min:

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is the first mirrorless Z-mount lens to be discontinued
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S was the first mirrorless Z-mount lens to be replaced by a new Mark II version back in August. Asobinet now reports that the old/original version is already listed as discontinued in stores in Japan:
- Map Camera: Discontinued products, in stock
- Yodobashi Camera: Discontinued
In the US, both lenses are currently in stock with a price difference of $450 (the new Mark II lens is now in stock at B&H, Erhardt, WEX, and Camera Canada):
It is worth noting that not a single Nikon Z mirrorless camera is currently listed as discontinued on the official Nikon website – the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S will be the first entry.
