→ In October 2017 Nikon filed a patent for a what appears to be a new mirrorless mount (Z-mount?). It’s interesting to note that the Nikon 1 mirrorless mount also had 12 electronic contacts.

→ Nikon also has a patent to speed up the mirror flip-up speed in DSLR cameras.
