Nikon Japan announced a price increase for the Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens, “change in sales method” for the Nikkor Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens

After Germany and the US, Nikon will also increase the price of the price of the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens in Japan:

Effective Thursday, August 29, 2024, we will be revising the suggested retail prices and shipping prices of NIKKOR Z lenses (one item), large binoculars (four items), and large binocular accessories (two items). In the recent environment of rising raw material, manufacturing and logistics costs, we have been working to reduce costs by promoting efficiency and rationalization, but we have reached a point where we are unable to absorb the cost increases in the medium to long term through corporate efforts alone, and have decided to implement price revisions. In addition , we will change the suggested retail price display for large binocular accessories to an open price display. (source: Nikon Japan)

Nikon Japan also announced a “change in sales method” for the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens:

Regarding the “NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct” and its accessories, which were previously made to order, we have decided to cancel the made-to-order production, taking into consideration production conditions and the balance between supply and demand in the market. (source: Nikon Japan)

I assume that means that the Noct lens will now be produced in small batches, which means the waiting time to get one could be much longer.
