Updated Nikon Big Sur software compatibility



Nikon updated their Big Sur software compatibility – here are the details:

macOS Big Sur (version 11.0) compatibility announcement (updated 22/12/2020)

Thank you for choosing Nikon for your photographic needs. We are pleased to announce the following regarding the compatibility of our Mac software products with macOS Big Sur. We do plan to resolve known issues and ask for your continued patience until fully compatible versions of software can be released. Note: A dialog asking whether to allow an application to access files and folders may be displayed the first time it is launched. If this dialog is displayed, click OK each time.

  1. Processing is not performed when the Start button is clicked for Convert Files… or Run Batch Process….
  2. ViewNX-i stops responding (freezes) when Custom Settings… is selected from dropdown display options for the Adjustments, File & Camera Information, or XMP/IPTC Information palette.
  3. Notification Audio and Thumbnail Cache options are not displayed in the General panel of the Preferences dialog.
  4. Image previews are not properly displayed with selection of Print, Email, or Contact Sheet.
  5. With full metadata display selected for the XMP/IPTC Information palette, label icons overlap label names.

We do not intend to provide compatibility with the following applications.
