Today Cosina released additional information on their new Voigtländer VM-Z close-focusing adapter for using M lenses on Nikon Z-mount cameras. The adapter was announced last year together with two additional Z adapters (Google translation):
An adapter that allows you to shoot from infinity by mounting a Voigtländer VM and ZEISS ZM lens on a Nikon Z-mount mirrorless machine. By using a helicoid with a stroke of 5.5 mm, it is possible to shoot “closer” from the shortest shooting distance of the lens body. You can also attach a Voigtländer/L mount interchangeable lens by using it together with the M bayonet adapter ring that we sold in the past.
Suggested retail price: 36,800 yen (excluding tax) JAN: 4530076 632400 (released on July 9, 2020)
Main features:
- Voigtländer/VM, ZEISS/ZM lens dedicated design
- Extending the shortest shooting distance with a helicoid with a delivery stroke of 5.5 mm
- Metal Excellent operability is ensured by knurling all around the ring
- Silky operation feeling with high-precision helicoid and high-quality grease
- Infinite lock mechanism prevents inadvertent focus misalignment
This adapter expands the range of the shortest shooting distance of each lens from infinity when the following lenses are attached. You can focus with manual focus. Since it is not equipped with an electrical interface, the metering method on the camera side will be the actual aperture type.
