I just received a confirmation – Nikon will launch a refresh of the current Nikon AF-S 400mm f/2.8G ED VR lens (funny that we just had a guest post on that lens). Expect the price of the new lens to be at least $500 more than the current version ($8,999.00). I am still trying to confirm if this new lens will be announced this week with the Nikon 1 S2. This new lens will definitely be released before the start of the FIFA World Cup in June, 2014.
Update: the new 400mm f/2.8 lens is expected to have a fluorite element and SWM update.
