• There are still few hours left for the ongoing Nikon D600/D800 promotion. At that point I am not sure if those instant savings will be extended past today. Update: it seems that Adorama still offers the same deal, while B&H removed the free accessories but kept the same instant savings. Amazon’s prices are also unchanged.

• After the latest Nikon instant rebates, the price of refurbished D800/D800E cameras also dropped. Currently refurbished D800 sells for $2,349.95, D800E are listed for $2,699.95. Update: Adorama currently has a refurbished D800 listed for $2,299.99.

• The new Nikkor 70-200mm f/4 lens is currently in stock at Amazon and B&H.

• New D600 book (in German): Nikon D600 Das Buch zur Kamera.

• Apple released Digital Camera RAW compatibility update 4.03 with support for Nikon 1 V2 (for Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11).

• Microsoft released Camera Codec Pack v1734.1104 with support for more Nikon cameras (Nikon 1 J2, CoolPix P7000, CoolPix P7100), D600 is still not supported.

• New: Polaroid now makes cheap battery grips for Nikon D3200 (some listed for as low as $28).

• The Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 Distagon T* ZF.2 lens with Nikon mount is now in stock.

• Another rare Nikon lens on eBay: Nikkor 10mm OP f/5.6 fisheye.
• Nikon provided $20,000 aid to the victims of the Typhoon “Bopha” in the Philippines.
