Nikon Australia posted on their blog that the D4 and D800 are the “first DSLR cameras to pass the very elaborate European Broadcasting Union (EBU) test, commonly referred to as the BBC Test.” The D800 is actually not recommended -check the end of this document: “This camera cannot be recommended for serious programme-making.” Update: BBC states that neither the Nikon D4 or D800 are acceptable for broadcast.
