TASCAM is proud to announce the CA-XLR2d-N microphone adapter, developed in conjunction with Nikon. This compact and powerful adapter brings XLR input expansion and professional grade audio capture to the new Nikon ZR.
Designed to bridge the gap between professional audio and modern video workflows, the CA-XLR2d-N delivers superior sound quality directly to cameras, eliminating the need for complex post-production syncing tasks. By taking advantage of TASCAM’s HDDA microphone preamps, creators can achieve clean, noise-free recordings with a wide dynamic range in a variety of filming scenarios.
Featuring dual XLR/TRS combo jacks and a dedicated 3.5mm stereo mini jack, the CA-XLR2d-N is poised to deliver everything from shotgun and condenser microphones to lavalieres and line level sources directly to Nikon cameras. TASCAM’s high performance AD converters transmit digital audio via a digital accessory shoe, drawing power directly from the camera body for a convenient, streamlined recording solution. Additional features, such as headphone monitoring, built-in microphone shock-mount, plus analog output, provide flexible monitoring and pro level quality for Nikon’s ZR.
From solo content creators to documentarians and beyond, the TASCAM CA-XLR2d-N provides the freedom to select the right microphone for the job no matter the environment. Other processing functions such as Auto-Level, Low-Cut Filter, and Limiter further enhance performance in demanding conditions.

In addition to the CA-XLR2d-N, TASCAM is launching the CA-AK1-N conversion adapter. The CA-AK1-N is an accessory hot shoe adapter designed to fit on any of the CA-XLR2d models, making them compatible with Nikon cameras.
