Over the years I have been trying to keep a list of all Nikon cameras and their sensor manufacturer/designer (the list has been updated several times). The website Tech Insights offers some searchable resources on sensor manufacturers:
The sensor inside the Nikon Z7 for example is made by Sony (IMX309BQJ) and so is the D500 sensor (IMX321).
