Sigma released new firmware updates for issues with the Nikon D6 camera



A few days ago Sigma released new firmware updates for several F-mount lenses that fixes issues with the Nikon D6 camera:

Impacted lenses:

Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM | Art

Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art

Sigma 40mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art

Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art

Currently, there is only one Nikon D6 in stock at Amazon (shipped and sold by Amazon). The D6 is also in stock in Canada. All other stores are back-ordered (AdoramaB&H | WEX | Park Camera | Calumet).

We would like to announce that a new firmware update is now available for the SIGMA Global Vision lenses in Nikon F mount listed below. For customers who own the SIGMA USB DOCK and applicable products listed below, please update the firmware via SIGMA Optimization Pro. Before updating the firmware using the SIGMA USB DOCK, please ensure you update SIGMA Optimization Pro to Ver.1.6.0 or later.

Benefits of the update:

・It has improved the start-up time after the Nikon D6 power is turned on

・It has fixed an issue where the autofocus did not work when used on a Nikon D6
