Weekly Nikon news flash #421

Another set of pictures from the current Nikon prototype cameras exhibition at the Nikon Museum.

→ Here’s a historically significant find related to Nikon’s ultra-wide lenses: the earliest known production version of the 13mm f/5.6 lens. Serial #175023 makes it the 3rd 13mm to roll off the production-line way back towards the end of 1975. Previous to this find, the earliest known 13mm was #175026, which sold on eBay back in 2013 for US$34,800.00 by a seller in Tokyo, Japan. This lens (175023) was found at the ICS Camera Fair, which is currently running in Tokyo. At this stage, prices are not known. (thanks Ron Volmershausen)
