New firmware updates for the Nikon Coolpix P900 and S6700 cameras
Nikon released firmware update 1.2 for the Coolpix P900 (still out of stock, except on eBay) and 1.1 for the Coolpix S6700 cameras:
Firmware v1.2 for Coolpix P900
- An effort was made to fix an issue that prevented the shutter being released using the optional ML-L3 remote control when a person or object was immediately behind the camera. You should nevertheless select Off for EVF auto toggle in the camera setup menu when using the ML-L3.
- Fixed a bug that caused the shutter to be released only once if the optional ML-L3 remote control was operated during movie recording, after which movie recording could not be ended using the movie-record button.
Firmware v1.1 for Coolpix S6700
- Fixed an issue that in rare circumstances caused the camera to freeze with the lens extended when the power was turned on.
