Hello! First timer here. I have a Nikon D3000 DSLR I basically inherited from my bro. I want to buy a new lens so I can get pretty, bright pictures. Most of the pics I get with the base lens he got with the camera (AFS-NIKKOR 18-55mm) comes out very dark. Not at all like the bright, white, dreamy pics I love. I know most of it has to do with editing.
I was told that the AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Autofocus Lens was a great one by a photographer I admire. But when I went to buy, I noticed it isn't compatible with this camera. Anyone can help point me to a good, affordable lens? I'm by no means a hardcore photog enthusiast/student. I would just like to have better pictures (mostly on Auto setting) for daily fun and traveling.
I'm looking to buy one this week as I leave for a trip this weekend. I know it's kind of last minute and vague. I was settled on getting the AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Autofocus Lens and finally having the cash to do so - then it didn't fit and all my friends with DSLR's have Canons so... kind of at a loss. :/
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
