At the 2025 CP+ show in Japan Nikon demos Zf camera firmware version 2.0 with… Nikon Imaging Cloud support

I was wondering yesterday how Nikon will demo the Imaging Cloud with the Zf camera at the CP+ show since the feature was never added to that model, but it has been rumored for a long time. Nikon had a new firmware version 2.9 installed on the demo Zf cameras:

A reader sent me the answer today (thanks):

“There were several sets of Zf with a pre-release FW 2.00 that support imaging cloud recipes and flexible color recipes. I spoke with some of the ground staff and they mentioned that Zf is definitely slated to support Imaging Cloud and the cloud recipes, but they have no exact time frame on exactly when the firmware would be released.

Furthermore, I did a quick run through of some of the settings on the FW2.00 Zf, and there were some additions to custom functions – notably Cycle AF area mode (as per Z8/Z9/Z50ii), and being able to customize a key for delete function during playback operations (as per Z8/Z9/Z50ii).

I am sure this is an indication of what we can expect for a Z6III FW2.00 too.”

Update – watch this video from the 3:19 minute mark:

FYI – the last Nikon Zf firmware update was version 1.21:
