A reader cannot change or update credit card info with Nikon USA, loses his place in the queue for the Nikkor Z 600 lens


A reader informed me that you cannot change your credit card information once you place an order directly with Nikon USA – his credit card was compromised and he had to cancel his existing order and place it again – by doing so he lost his place in the queue for the Z 600 lens:

I had placed an order for the Z 600 TC f/4 lens back in early November, however, the credit card I used was compromised. I called Nikon today thinking I could just update the payment information. Nikon told me there was no way to do that in their system. The only option was to cancel the order and re-order. This will cause anyone that has to do this to lose their place in line. They did tell me since I am NPS that I could try and attach the new order to my NPS, however, NPS shows that I have already done this (meaning my old order). I have reached out to NPS to see if they can remove that and attach my new order, however, it still moves me to the back of NPS orders.

Just thought this would be some good info for people! This would be the same even if you were not NPS.
