Nikon registered a new EN-EL25 camera battery in Russia. Here is a breakdown of the latest Nikon EN-ELxx batteries:
The Nikon EN-EL24 battery was for the Nikon 1 J5 camera.
The Nikon EN-EL23 battery was for the P600, P610, P900 and S810c cameras.
The Nikon EN-EL22 battery was for the Nikon 1 J4 and S2 cameras.
I think it is safe to assume that the new EN-EL25 battery will be for a small(er) Nikon camera.
Nikon is rumored to announce a new compact camera – I don’t think this was the Nikon Coolpix W150 since that model was already announced in other countries several months ago. There is still hope for a small, DL-like, high-end Nikon compact point and shoot camera.
