Improvement of new developed large diameter 56 mm P-MO aspherical lens: AT-X 16-28 F2.8 Newly created P-MO aspheric lens used for FX, and reduced ghost and flare by improving surface accuracy and coat.

Change of appearance design: We changed to exterior design exclusive for opera. The more sophisticated design is given, the operability, the operation feeling has also improved.

Equipped with quiet quiet SD-M (Silent Drive-Module): The quietness of the AF driving sound is raised by setting the DC motor and the reduction gear unit in a sealed state integrally.

GMR sensor (high precision magnetic sensor) mounted near the drive section: Instead of the rotation detection sensor normally used as the AF control sensor, it realized quick AF speed with high resolution and focus control with higher detection accuracy.

Focus ring: opera realizes operability without incongruity by matching the rotation direction of the focus ring with the Nikon · Canon’s original lens and the rotation direction.
