The latest full-frame mirrorless camera market share – Sony: 67%, Canon: 22.1%, Nikon: 10.4%

BCN Ranking published their latest market share data for full frame mirrorless cameras. The first graph shows how Sony’s nearly 100% market share fell down to 67% after the announcement of the Nikon Z7 and Canon EOS R (Sony in blue: 67%, Canon in red: 22.1%, Nikon in green: 10.4%):

Please, note that the Nikon Z6 is not reflected in the above graph (shipping will start at the end of November).

The second graph shows the distribution by sensor size:

While I am still waiting on the translation for the second graph, here is the recap by digicame-info: “With Nikon and Canon’s full-size mirrorless entry, APS-C has scarcely decreased, but Micro Four Thirds seems to be deprived of market share“.

Update: blue: APS-C, red: MFT, green: full-frame, purple: other(the graphs are for October 2017 vs October 2018)

As far as I know, BCN+R collects sales data from approximately 2/3 of all Japanese retail stores.
