The latest Nikon patents: mirrorless lenses, curved sensor and more



Nikon’s patent US20170261728 contains calculations for various mirrorless f/2.8-4 lenses designed for various sensor sizes (FX, DX, 2x crop factor and 1″):

Among all these patents there is also a patent for a full frame 24-85mm f/2.8-4 DSLR lens.

Next is another Nikon patent for a curved sensor and a matching 50mm f/2.8 lens (P2017-53887A):



The new Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4E ED lens was designed together with or by Konica Minolta (P2017-227799A):



Another Nikon patent (P2017-216578A) describes a special arrangement to improve the phase-detection ability for the on-sensor PDAF:



Nikon has a patent (US9774777) for a mirrorless camera but it’s filed in 2016 so it is not clear if this is for their new mirrorless model or for the Nikon 1. The lens mount described has 12 contacts similar to the Nikon 1:
