    First!
    Of May….
    :o)

And two were about Sony… they have properly infiltrated NR now… Well done, Sony.

The A7Rii was the first mirrorless that Nikon had to notice
The A9 is the first mirrorless camera that Nikon cannot ignore !!!

LOL, back in 1980s film slr can do 14 fps. Nowadays it is sensor technology holding it back. A9’s samples online show significant problem with A9’s 20fps enabled.

        • T.I.M

Wait a minute, back in the 80s a pro camera like the F3H was shooting at 10fps maximum.

14 FPS for 1984 Olympics. F3H does 13.5 fps. It is F2H that was released way earlier that only does 10.

          • Chris

Nah. Canon F-1N and Nikon F3H are 14 fps. It is F2H that only does 10.

            • T.I.M

              I had a F3H
              10fps

            • Chris

You mixed up with something else or you don’t know your gear well. Go check it. To be accurate F3 high speed can do 13.5 fps.

            • T.I.M

I use one several times but it was not mine, I was only assistant photographer (yes, the guy who carry all the equipment).
              I was told 10fps max.
When I graduated the F4 was already released.

            • Chris

Well F3H does do more than that with proper motor drive. But I was mainly referring to F-1N at the time since F3H was released in 1990s while F1 High Speed was released for 1984 Olympic. At that time Nikon only has F2H (released 1978), which does 10 fps with MD-100.

      • Lol the a9 is a gimmick.. Sony made a huge jump with nowhere to land.. Let’s see who’s spending 4000 plus on a lenless camera (>‿◠)✌ it’s all #AboutTheGlass

everyone can see the writing on the wall

sold lots of my nikon gear now that it was still worth something

canon and sony will be fine (for now), companies like nikon / fuji and panasonic…hmmm….there are going to be casualties in the ILC market, there have to be with tanking sales for 6 years in a row we…we’re just waiting which company it will be at this point

      • Just Me

I didn’t see the writing ’cause I was busy shooting. :-/

      • silmasan

That’d be great. I’ll be happy to pick some more cheap D810s. Otherwise the GFX system could be something else, I think it’s gonna be either Phase or Hass–oops I forgot the latter has already tanked and is now bailed out as DJIblad.

“everyone can see the writing on the wall”

But sometimes you have to read between the lines.
In case of Sony there are whole paragraphs to read between the lines.

      • marcosarg

        Fuji? Seriously? nahhhh.

  • T.I.M

Then maybe it was a F2H, all I remember it was black and weighted a ton.

    Zeis already does so

  • Sorry Sony, there’s a new king in town: http://www.iflscience.com/technology/new-record-for-worlds-fastest-camera-can-picture-the-movement-of-light-itself/

Maybe the measurebators can salivate over that for a while instead?

    🙂
