My problem ...I have teenagers (boys), how can I take their photo without them ducking out of the scene ...?? Be as creative as you like but be aware I have already considered a staple gun, so something else would be nice.
Get an AF lens, but seriously hire a stripper that should keep them looking at the right direction long enough for you to get your shots done. And you simply move your stripper around if you need your boys to look away from the camera at certain directions. This might not work so well in public places, but then again you are in Australia anything goes there right

BTW did this get to you upside down, I am not sure of how to operate the upside downside converter
Seriously this is how I take pictures of teenage boys:
Get them together with some friends have a game of Rugby(football here in Canada) and I would use my D300 with my 70-200 2.8VR in AF C-AF and H fps, As they are playing, talking, joking around, lots and I men lots of shots would be taken, some cropped very close. Show them your best pictures and maybe then you could take the shots that you want of them your way because now they might be more willing to pose
Maybe let them take pictures also, they don't all have to be taken by you, right

I don't know, exit. There's a bit of charm in the lack of cooperation. Would it really be honest to have smiling pictures of teenagers who refuse to smile? Though definitely not as extreme, it reminds me a bit of the way they used to dress up their kids like adults for portraits.
I think Pete's idea is a good one, though—the sports one, not the other. If they're genuinely having fun there's no lie.
Eddie reminds me of Terry Richardson for some reason lol
