$20k, definitely not enough, but a good start could be:
    - 600/4 - $10k
    - 300/2.8 - $5k
    - and either d3s or 14-24 + d300s + some accessories
for $20k more I would also get:
    - 400/2.8 - $8k
    - 200/2 - $5k
    - sigma 300-800/5.6 - $10k, ups, over budget :)

Jonny it's not about being greedy. This money has already been "set aside" so if you don't use all of it then it goes back to the mafia or oil company account from which it came. You wouldn't want it to go to waste like that would you? ;^)

I wish I had read that before trying to sleep, Niko. The guilt was oppressive.

Well gee Adamz, if you're upping this by another $20K, then I'll add a D3s (5000), a D3x (7200), a 14-24/2.8 (1800), a 24-70/2.8 (1800), 28/3.5 PC-E (2200) and a 17-35/2.8 (1800). I already had all the long lenses and DX stuff. The only other things to even want are the 200/2 and the lenses too long for me to use.

Ted if You already have the long lenses and You are not using them, than I guess You don't mind a small donation to a member of one of the developing countries:) just tell me when and where I should pick them, will pay for the transport:)

    D3s - $5200
D700X/D800 (or whatever camera they call it when it comes out) - $3000?
    14-24mm f/2.8 - $1800
    24-70mm f/2.8 - $1800
    70-200 f/2.8 VRII - $2400

Gosh, I've got $5800 left... I could throw in an 85mm f/1.4G for another $1500 (if they don't screw up the autofocus speed like they did with the 50mm f/1.4G), probably a PC-E 24mm f/3.5 ($2000), a 105mm f/2.8 VR ($900). That leaves me with $1400 to spend on a good tripod and a hundred CF cards.

    D3s - $5200
    D700 - $2500
    14-24 - $1800
    24-70 - $1800
    70-200 - $2400
    85 PC - $1800
    24 PC - $2000
    85 F1.4 - $1200
    200 Micro - $1600
    2x SB-900 - $1000
    SU-800 - $250

    TOTAL $20,350

That's just about everything I want, minus the long glass (200-400, 200 f2, etc...), and the D3x, which I would love, but I'll take the lenses first.

Of course, if Nikon released some fast wide primes, the list would change.
