If I'm not back in 2 days, could someone come wake me from my reverie? Thanks.Posted 3 years ago # -
I don't need the grip. I rarely use 6fps. Extra batteries yes. I will only need one though as I have three now for two cameras.PacificEagle said:

Except that you're not half as greedy. Okay, maybe you're two thirds as greedy. I didn't mean to leave you out. I was playing the new Mario Bros game for wii with my son tonight and actually became a penguin or at least a man in a penguin suit. In that way I think we're a lot alike.

Jonny it's not about being greedy. This money has already been "set aside" so if you don't use all of it then it goes back to the mafia or oil company account from which it came. You wouldn't want it to go to waste like that would you? ;^)

All right, I'll be using approximations to make math easier on myself when it comes to costs. Everyone set with that? Good, let's go!
-Nikon D3s ($5000)
-Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 ($2000)
-Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 ($2000)
-Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II ($2000)
-Nikon 400mm f/2.8 VR II ($8000)
-Nikon 1.4 and 1.7 TCs ($1000)So, yeah, that's right about $20,000, I think. If I needed a bit extra, I'd just do some thieving. Although, getting $20,000 magically sounds a little suspect to me already. :p

But Pacificeagle have connections, I like your setup the best, big fan of the D3s, all lenses would work great for sports, but remember we are starting with nothing, I think I would trade the 14-24 for a D90(back-up), 50mm F1.4, filters mem cards, extra batteries
