Can I interest you in a Ricoh GXR camera Panamon? lol :^)
Please don't start that again, Niko. You know, the joke's going to be on me if GXR-type cameras dominate the market.
where there’s smoke there’s forum fire
Come on jonny I bet a lot of you hadn't even heard of Ricoh before I(we) started blabbering about it. You've got to admit they thought waaaay out of the box on the GXR. Besides I've got stock in the company so I've got to do my part to keep the momentum rolling ;^)
nikon definitely
i've played with the new sony a550 and it's soooooooo slow - the AF, maybe a900 is faster,
canon - no, maybe I'm not used to it's menu, but it takes too much time to navigate form one place to another, too much thinking to just take one picture
olympus - too small sensor, although need to check the new ep2 - if the AF will work right, than maybe I'll get it as a take-on-the-walk camera
panasonic - too expensive
leica - well, M9 with nikon F mount - dreams :) - but seriously I would love to have this camera with the 0.95 lens, or rather this lens in a nikon F mount, would be a dream lens for d3s
rest - ??? are any other companies left, not serious one
So overall we are actually very happy with what we have from Nikon right and don't take me wrong so am I
Pete
And their lenses have AF on them

I can't speak for anyone else, but I read a review of the Ricoh GX100 a couple of years ago that made me want one, but I never got one (I was saving up for a D200 at the time, which turned into a D300 by the time I could afford it, thank heaven). Sorry I couldn't help your portfolio. Maybe next time.

Nah Ricoh went a bit too far out of the box for my taste and there is too much in that interchangeable lens module.
I just want to have a interchangeable lens mount with which to obtain full or majority of functionality on lenses with different mounts.
Leica.
I'd have any DSLR so long as it had the latest CCD from DALSA Semiconductors.
Only 111 Million pixels, yup one hundred and eleven Million.
Mac.
Does it come with a F mount though?
Or can Ricoh fit that sensor in a 50mm GXR lens?

Dosen't really matter, the post at the beginning said as above, Now this is not about if this can be done, lets imagine that it can be done.
So yes it would have a F mount.
That's one huge Fmount! I think I'm going to need more step up rings!

Wow that 100mm by 100mm sensor would need a 4 by 5 field camera to be used and Bill Gates to help you paying for it
Pete
Or just enlist in the US Navy and they'll let you fool around with it.
I wouldn't give up a Nikon body for any other brand... the controls on Nikons are intuitive and they just get out of your way, unlike the controls on Canons, which, I think, are absolutely atrocious.
