It's behaving as though the battery is dead. One moment we were taking some nice shots, the next it just seized up.

It worked great for 3 days, then just out of the blue stopped.

I posted up a video of it in its current state here: <Link removed as it was labeled private>

Did you try a different battery?

Did you try a different charger?

Take it into a REAL CAMERA STORE (not Best Buy or whoever) and show them what is going on and see if they'll be willing to at least let you try a different battery in it. Try the battery in a different camera.

If it works then buy a new battery from them and learn to buy from them in the future. If it still does not work, contact whoever you did buy it from and see what they'll do for you.

And by the way, the web site certainly is pointless at this stage ...

Goodness gracious! Don't you think you're going overboard making a website and spreading your address everywhere? You don't even know what is the cause of the malfunction yet. Battery? Faulty contacts? Even if it did turn out to be a real issue with your D600, you haven't even taken the effort to take it back to where you bought it. Best case scenario they'll replace it with a new one. Worst case scenario you'll have to have Nikon take a look at it. Seriously, it's not like the dealer, or Nikon for that matter, refused to acknowledge your problem and left you with your dead D600.

You are both right. The site was totally pointless, I was just emotionally charged going from super excitement to super disappointment. I've taken down that posting, and adjusted my comment above. The facts still remain, and I'm assuming a return or exchange will go fine. It just stinks, and I was mad, and posting up a site is just too easy these days.

So Iris, I would ask you to modify your quote to take out the link if you don't mind.

Thank you both for the comments.
