When I told my dad about this he did not like it at all. I actually calculated it on a website before I even saw this thread today just to prove to him how bad his camera is :^)

I actually calculated it on a website before I even saw this thread today just to prove to him how bad his camera is :^)I really think that the limit of the present APS-C sensor is app 12 - 14 MP area, that incl resolution, NR, diffraction problems, ISO performance, maybe future sensors can pixel bind to have 2 pixels act like one if that can help with the issues of smaller pixels

That sounds like a good idea...
To tell you the truth I'm done with DX. I want my D300 to be my last official DX camera—I'd rather use the 1.4x teleconverter any day. FX sounds like a much smoother ride.

I sure appreciate the post, I read Darwin's Blog quite a bit but missed the update on the 7D.
He has used Canon Camera's forever and is a consummate Pro photographer and I really trust his opinion about the 7D.Posted 3 years ago # -
Welcome to the forum Evan! I was surprised by Darwin's review. I commend him for going through and "publishing" his findings. A lot of his fans are now haters.

It's funny how so many people complain about this review, saying that you shouldn't shoot at apertures smaller than f/8. Wonder what all those macro and landscape aficionados are going to do with this camera.
