What would it take to get you to post something? I'm seeing a lot of you visiting (more than once) and I've seen links to your work (really good stuff)but you never say anything :^(
So tell me, why don't you want to say anything? Your photos are awesome. Please share. Or at least tell me why you don't want to say anything.
Anyway welcome to the forum all of you who only read but never say anything :^)

But LURKERS does not sound that inviting, you should say "visitors, NR explorers or something" you know I care what you think and even a slight bit who you might be, just a tiny bit

Welcome to the forum, PaleRider. I signed up for the forum back when the admin had some drawing for a bag or something, but I wish I had been active since then. The forum is more fun than the comments threads on the blog.

Actually they were taken with the wife's canon p&s sx200. Not bad quality for what you get.
Haven't bought my new camera yet, cause the wife found a house she wants more than i want a new camera!
So I will just have to suffer thru with my old D40 for now. Hope to move up to a D90 or a D300s one of these days, but just have to be patient!
I don't blame anyone for standing on the sidelines and watching, I've done that with a number of forums. I just found the Yellow (GYF*) and Black irresistible. *Anyone here old enough to catch the reference?
Welcome pale rider. Don't worry, your d40 has plenty of great clicks left in it. Its a great little camera that will take pictures so big it will get you banned from the photo-a-day thread if you submit them full size :)
Don't get me wrong, I love my D40, and plan on keeping it around for a long time... I just want something that will allow me to do a more faster! Not to mention use some of the sweet older lenses that I have!
I'll have to get my act to gether and shoot some stuff other than work things so i can post in the photo a day thread!

At the very least, Niko will have more people to toy with.

BTW I changed 8 months ago from a Canon 40D to a Nikon D300, simply to get a better AF system and flash metering system that Nikon offers. Very happy with my move to Nikon

Actually, the my name is Japanese. OYA (parent) + BAKA (idiot). Basically it means a parent who is crazy about their child. It's pretty much the biggest reason I take pictures.
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I'll try to lurk less.
And just what the @#$@ is wrong with just lurking? If this site had easier way to post images I might post more .... it's my understanding that to post on here you have to post a photo on another site then post a link to it here....THAT'S LAME!
That's how I post pictures on DpReview also, I just have my fun Flickr account for that purpose no big deal really. I don't really spend much time on other forums, maybe they are different, but this forum can be fun being new and small
Don't like it, the world is your oyster, have fun elsewhere
