Being a somewhat impatient person, and after waiting almost 5 months, I just inquired at B & H about my order for the D800e. I was told per Nathan, that Nikon was shipping no D800e's, none nada zilch! This came as somewhat of a surprise, limited supply, long wait, yah, I understood that. But not shipping any? Has anyone heard that, or even a whisper on the net to that effect. Did I miss something, have I been asleep for the last five months?

    So what's up with that?

I got mine after 6 months and 2 weeks worth of waiting.
I got it on 23rd August, but this is in New Zealand.

From what I gathered from my retailer, D800 has been coming to them at a rate of approximate 2 per month. D800E at 1 per month. Though, prior to getting mine, they told me they didn't get any D800/D800E for about 6 weeks. So I was pretty lucky.

This is only 1 of the 22 official nikon retailer in NZ. So take it with a grain of salt.
