    @postman - Very powerful image!
    @Avid and Captain Very cool.
    Excellent to all.

    Being labor day weekend and the end of summer, wandering around on the beach this dog came running at me and I just went with it, blown highlights and all. Have a safe Labor day for all that celebrate it!

    Another portrait, taken earlier today.

    D7000 | AF 85mm f/1.8D | f/3.2 | 1/60 | ISO 400 | LR 4.1

    Aperture Priority

    And I must have been holding the camera pretty steady if I got that sharp of a shot at 1/60 with the 85... forgot to change my minimum shutter speed for auto ISO so it would bump at 1/100 hehe.

    Great lighting on your daughters portrait, Rifqi.

    Love the sparrow, Avadhesh. I try and capture shots of them flying but it can be a genuine exercise in frustration. ;]

    Thanks everyone, feels great being one year closer to death :p

    Yeti, awesome scene, love the light.

    Here's a bug, probably one of the last ones I'll shoot this season.

    Well, we are at summer's end. Lots of fires in Montana and Idaho make for smokey skies. Tried to do a sunset and thought it might be spectacular, after sundown. The sun went down and it simply went out. So here is the best of several shots. At least the mosquitos are gone!

    My wife on the beach at Cape May, NJ a few weeks ago. D800, 28-70 zoom at 70mm and f2.8, 1/6400 second and -2.0 exposure compensation. No fill flash.

    Could be used for a sunglasses advertisement.

    Thank you to all for the comments on my last post.

    This one was taken at Crozant, at a well known (locally) bend in the River Creuse which overlooks medieval ruins that date back to the 10th century.

    Had a very busy weekend working on re-siding the house so I didn't get out to shoot at all. So pulling another one from the back catalog.

    I posted one of this model last month. The umbrella really worked well again with this shot. I did more post processing to this than I normally do, but it just seemed to work.

    Not spectacular of a shot, but love how it shows the sharpness, subject isolation and bokeh of the 300 F4.
