Holy Cow! Pentax is at it again! Whatever those Pentax designers are smoking they need to hook me and poster up ;^)
Pentax has announced yet another "special edition" K-X camera. This one comes in Rainbow Regalia.
I'm pre-ordering mine as I type this, YES!

it's easier for them to get good prices on particular parts, as suppliers doesn't have to worry about color :)

Looks like Nikon got a whiff of whatever Pentax has been smoking.
OK so they're not as kitschy as Pentax, but would you guys like to see a special edition bronze D7000 or a red "D800"?

I would never want a DSLR that is anything other than flat black. That said, I think that red P500 is awesome looking. For those in the market for these cameras they are as much a fashion accessory as a camera.

I think Nikon should one up Canon and make a grey DSLR to match the Grey version of certain lenses.
Instead of looking like a Canon freak with black DSLR, white lens.

I've been waiting for that. I demand that the D4 can be purchased in grey Btw does anybody have the list of all of the grey nikkors made?

I'd love it if they made a D7000 in that color and had a matching 35mm 1.8.

That is true. My Canon AE-1 has the silver metal top and bottom and black leather like middle. It is a very awesome looking camera and if retro is the idea, it could be a neat color scheme. By the A-1 Canon had gone all black as did Nikon I think.
