Do we want a Nikon Rumors iPhone app? I am currently talking to a developer that may be able to create something but I need to be clear what I (we) want.
Here are my thoughts so far:

- Push content - In other words when there is a new post, an indication is displayed similar to the iPhone email system.
- Make posts available offline - for example for airplane use (user check a box and the post is saved locally on the iPhone)
- Ability to "email this", "post to facebook", "post to twitter", etc.
- Design similar to the WSJ app
- Adjustable font size, background colors (black or white)
- include also forum topics.

Any other ideas?

I just thought about another function - take a picture and it will be automatically emailed to me - for those cases when you walk down the street and see a new Nikon camera being tested in disguise. Remember the D5000 and the D3s spy shots?

ha, this is funny - the Apple tag turned into a real Apple :) Look at the top right of the screen (where the tags are). I think Steve Jobs just hacked our forum.

I think I should offer a free version with ads and a paid version without ads - this is how most of the apps are anyway.

Well, if you were using a PC to make [NR] there definitely would be no [NR] ;^)

I wouldn't expect it to work on PC. Bill Gates would not allow it!

I'd love to have the forums on an app. If I could subscribe to certain threads and then get one of the red pop-up numbers when there are new replies, that would be sweet.

I've already got the blog on my iGoogle page, so I'm not sure that there'd be much added value... Maybe when the products get launched in Europe and I'm not at work...

Hi Admin why only Iphone, what about the option to have e-mails send to any platform that we use, with the option to sign out

Would absolutely love a NR iPhone app! But 99 cents tops, please! Top function, obviously, list the rumors. Another cool feature would be a quick Nikon gear inventory, a database--- just a simple list of all bodies, lenses etc, with weight, physical size, lens speed, file capabilities, file sizes, flash guides, capabilities etc. etc. etc. I'm constantly looking this stuff up on Nikon's site especially before I buy something new. I'd imagine that all you'd need do is copy the spec sheets off their site. Hey, if you get really ambitious you could put everything Nikon ever made on a database.

Wouldn't mind to see iphone app, moreover woldn't mind to have all the tools needed for moderating the forum as anyway I check this site very often from iphone.

love all of the above suggestions. . .!!

I'm a PC user but have the iPhone as a work indulgence, would make surfing the content SO MUCH easier, so in short, an app with the forum and of course blog functions seamlessly integrated, with the ability to attach pics for submissions of rumors. . .

looking forward to it!

(please, if possible, limit the ad clutter on the app, but I understand it's inevitable!)

I'm an Android (Droid) owner as well... but i have owned 2 iPhones in the past, currently own an iPad and plan on buying an iPhone 4 as soon as it's released for Verizon network.
