I just implemented private messaging on the forum. Very simple to use - just use the link under each member's picture. Once you login you will see the private messaging status on the top left of the screen (next to your name).
Please note that this is still in beta - I have used it on my test setup for few days and did not have any issues.

Beta for everyone, but I think it works pretty well.

I wasn't clear—sorry. What I meant was though the posts are private in general, can't admin still see them? That's not private enough for me to do something like that. I require triply-encripted-password-protected-secret-coded messages to feel safe :^)
Oh I gotcha now. I'm not sure admin can see your PM? I doubt it just like I don't think he can see your user password. Or can he....?

i believe admin could see your PM's if he really bothered looking for it, after all he should have full access to the directories this site is hosted in.
but i doubt he will be wanting to read some of the PM's that's going to be going around haha.
i think PM's are going to bring a lot to this forum.
admin - you talk about email notifications, on most forums users can decide if they want them or not in their account settings, don't know if that's too hard to make.
I do not have a direct function to see all PM. Of course they are all stored to a database and I have access to that database. I assume they are encrypted in the database - I will check. Trust me, I don't have the time to sneak on members unless Nikon starts using it to share their trade secrets :)
This could be cool, you should probably disable this feature for NikoDoby and soap, who knows how this may end up ;)

Yes, current online status page can be added together with history who was logged in during the day. The problem is that I could not get the colors right... I will try again. Ok this will be my next project. I still have not forgotten about the TOS.

I have to say again that I am very pleased with this forum solution (bbpress) and I am happy we did not switch to something else.

I like the statistics, it shows that POD-s are the most visited ones and I like that.

I've grown to love the forum just the way it is...please do not switch! It sounds like it's been easy for you to work with bbpress, and with all the great features it has please let's not switch.
