Woah, everything looks so strange! Good Luck admin, and thanks so much for everything...we all really appreciate you doing this for us :

This is my first time upgrading the software... and it took me less than 5 minutes! Of course now I have to bring back the old "feel and look" but the forum is online (this is the default theme btw).

Yuck, this is nasty. Glad everything went well.
Now let's go back to good ol' black 'n' yellow.

Rex, I agree. I was worried when I first saw this new theme.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I have an option to change themes. Is that just for me or will that screw with the whole forum?

where are you seeing that Gentoo?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Gentoo - I hope that you don't see the admin screen. Oh wel,l even if you do I trust you :) I will check the permissions - maybe you got full access after the update.

We now have page numbering - this is the first obvious update. Still need to change the color.
Posted 3 years ago # -
The majority of the work is done - still need to do some fine tuning tomorrow (separating lines are too thick, etc.)
The page numbering is still not right.Posted 3 years ago # -
Yeah I see the admin link at the top. That's why I asked before I screwed around in there lol. I have a couple of extra options that I did not see before.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I double checked - you are still listed as moderator. I will try to reset the permission.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Moderators - it seems that you all have admin access now :)
Please don't change anything that can overwrite the current setup (theme, settings, plugins, permalinks, tools etc.) until I figure this out.
Thanks!Posted 3 years ago # -
no problem :)

Moderators: if you still see the admin screen with green letters, clear you browser's cache - there is a new interface (similar to WordPress interface, if you are familiar).

Gentoo: I just logged in as a moderator and I only see Dashboard, Topics, Posts and Users tabs (on the left) - this is how it is suppose to be. Do you see something more? I think Admin stays for administration, and not for the role "Admin". Sorry to spam the forum with all this admin garbage - this is the last post, I promise - I will use email from now on.

the pagination still looks weird and we still lack the tool to ban users
Posted 3 years ago # -
there's also an issue with posting images in the PAD thread - the whole img src code gets deleted once You click the send button
also I would love to have one more functionality, a closed threads for moderators, so we could communicate between each other
Posted 3 years ago # -
Yeah, most forums have a closed moderator board, and i think thats a great idea.
And, what about private messaging? i have private plans for Niko and I.Posted 3 years ago # -
There is an update on the image post - now it ignores the extension caps. Will test and post details. Regarding banning users - on each user there is a "block" setting (in the profile). I will look into private messaging and private forums. You can see all available options (plugins) for bbpress here:
I am scanning through to look for something we can use. Let me know if you see something interesting.

OK, we can now ban users - there is a whole new Moderation Suite under the Moderation tab. This is beta folks, it could be fragile. The next step is private forum, so we don't have to discuss this in public with the moderators.

PAD thread is working, and I can see the banning tabs - TXH

So, who should we ban first to test that?
Posted 3 years ago # -
The other guy
BTW I like the page number on longer posts, it does make easier to go to the end of the post, thanks
