For today, I have something all together silly.

A friend of mine's birthday cake. He hates clowns and has a Stephen Colbert'esque fascination with bears (godless killing machines). So my girlfriend made him this cake.

That's not your average bear! Who's Stella? The bear?
I see they went all out on the Birthday card too, lol

Shutterdancer and NikoDoby-Thank you. It really does mean a lot to me to hear that.

Willis- Great capture. I think the motion blur works as well, and the contrast is nice. As for that cake....I'm a little bit disturbed. Hahaha

Gentoo- I love the bokeh in that shot!

Aprille: Excellent! I can feel the cool air in that fog. You really have a way of capturing the feel, not just the mood. Hmmm, I think I want to use the girl in this shot as a subject as well as the other one lol.

@Willis, I agree that the blur enhances the bar.

Very nice monty. Was that turquoise color from the container? Which lens did you use?

Actually Monty, that's what I do to my assistants who mess up. You can't see them but the tank is filled with sharks...with freakin' laser beams on their heads :^)

Regulator: My kind of shot. I love how you got the colors here. Of course the saturation police may come and rain on your parade but who cares. This is nice and colorful and smooth and clean.

Aprille: Only the clouds are a bit overexposed. I like the composition as a whole. Where did you take this? It looks like Lake Cuyamaca.

    Hahaha

I tried to shoot some canadian geese at lake cuyamaca today, but when I put my 70-300mm on every shot was black 2/3 of the way down on the bottom half of the image. My other lenses worked fine....any ideas?
