PBrigido: Looks like San Diego with those war ships. Nice the way you worked the light.

bmxdad: Thanks for the compliment. It was a bit of a challenge trying to get that focus just right. I had so many perfectly focused branch shots lol. Gotta love the D300's AF that's for sure.

Thanks Gentoo. It is actually a WW2 battleship docked in a harbor in Wilmington, NC.

Thanks for comments on my picture. funny thing is that I have been in these heavy arguments about the need for AF on these Zeiss lenses and I have actually shot most of my pictures in MF lately. Maybe I should try one of them MF Zeiss after all, we don't sell them where I work, which one should I get first

Those are nice, Pete. Exit has a convert, eh? When do the chipped zeiss lenses come out?

Hi Jon, great picture, I cropped the picture to really make your little boy stand out better, hope you like it this way also, I just found the right side distracting

Yeah, I like it that way, Pete. If I'm honest, I have to admit the reason I didn't crop more is that the focus wasn't spot on. And for the record, this was from a family photo shoot I did, so it's not my boy.

Same hair I thought, the focus is maybe not 100%, but the picture makes you smile, right

    Pete

BTW I think you need to go MF also, Exit is going to be happy, maybe in his sort of way

I love the lines in that, mb. I think it makes the man look so much more human when he's surrounded by harsh lines. Great shot.

Thanks! I thought B&W background will make old man figure stand out, but I suppose lines help too.

Good and dynamic shot RyanLoewy, but you should post in a December PAD thread now ...
