Here are the images from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Showing a few of the landing sites.

Here's the one I was thinking of. It's Apollo 17 and you can "see" the US flag. Sorry for the huge size iphone users :^)

AHA! I saw it! I saw the flag on the moon!

Great shot Niko—I'll bet you used the D20F with it's hubble space telescope features ;^)

    More of that, please, Ridgeback.

Here's one of my city a month ago. It's all brown now (well, brown and white after we got some snow this weekend).

    Good night, all.

Nice to see you're back and still making inane comments, Niko. ;-)
BTW, haven't we had enough member photos posted for you to leave the shadows yet?

Yeah, my bad. That's what I get for using copy and paste indiscriminately--forgot to link the img to the thumb! Thanks for the heads up, alpha.

Very nice pic Gentoo. There is something about the colors of that shot that is very warming.

You guys are getting too good....makes me feel like a redneck with a cheap point and shoot......uh...wait a minute.....I AM a redneck with a cheap point and shoot.

hikerboy47.... anytime you get ready to do a nature clinic.....I'm ready to sign up!!

Gentoo....I might be lucky to get one bird shot a month.....you seem to be able to get two or three a day !

    Adam....I couldn't decide if I wanted a fake spider, or a fake background....so I didn't use either one. ;^)

adamz - The forests in Alaska are technically rainforests, and they are FULL of eagles.

The large photo's are not a problem on an iPhone. They may take a brief moment to download over EDGE tho (for 1st gen iPhone users)

The large photo's are not a problem for the iPhone. The larger files will take a little longer to download over EDGE, but it's not that slow.

Water drops seem to be popular here, so here is mine. This was taken using a 50mm f/1.8 @f/22 and bellows extended to about 8 inches with an SB-600mm off camera.
