    Hi folks, Willis here.

I'm a gearhead \ hobbyist shooter in Austin TX.

Lately, I've been obsessed with the Dollar \ Yen exchange rate and its relationship to prices in the US. For anyone counting, its currently 98.5 yen \ dollar. That's just 9% lower than last year's average (about 107).

Hi, I'm Matt. I'm a grad student in Physics in Southern California. I'm also a professional musician. I shoot a D60 and a Minolta SRT-102 from time to time, as well as a crummy Samsung Digimax P&S when I'm somewhere I don't want to lug a camera bag around to (yeah, I know, I got it off woot for like 60 bucks a few years ago). Check out my flickr if you want, add me as a contact if you like: http://www.flickr.com/mattmendoza

    Hi

I am Ian from France. Retired here from the UK a few years back. Bought my first Nikon in 1970, and never looked back. Times are hard, so my D2h and D40 may have to soldier on for a bit.

    Hello from Oklahoma City.

I just got back into digital photography after a few years away. I just bought a almost new Nikon D50 and can not wait to learn how to use it. I work in Law Enforcement and love aviation.

Whoops. Just looking over this topic and see I forgot to post. I'm in south Louisiana, started doing my own darkroom work in 1968. Shot Minolta SRT-101s for years till they were stolen, then X-570s (still use them). Added a Sony DSC-F717 in 2002. Just recently started aquiring digital SLR gear - Nikon D300. I am a serious amateur photographer - years ago shot some weddings, did some portrait work, and did some scientific documentation. Now it's just for fun.

    Hello all,

My name is Frederick. Though originally from Chicago, am currently a pre-med undergraduate student in the LA area. I have enjoyed photography for about five years. I mostly shoot portraits and events to help pay for school but what I really enjoy is landscape photography. I currently use a D50.

Hey, I'm Alvin from the United States.

I own a Nikon D40 and I plan to get a 35mm DX prime next. I do borrow my dad's FM2 every once in a while, but I suck since I don't really know how to fully utilize it.

My name is Dan and I live in Southern, Arizona. I currently shoot with a D700 /w 24-120mm Nikon lens and 100mm Tokina Macro lens. I also carry around a Leica D-LUX 3 at times when I don't want the bulk of a D-SLR.

The D700 is new to me I upgraded from a Canon Rebel 350D, a big upgrade, and I'm still learning my new camera.

Glad I made the switch from Canon to Nikon, the Nikon seems more intuitive to me.

Hi Everyone...I'm labaronesa, also known as Linda. Currently living in Atlanta, however, I'm from New York and Miami. I use a D90 and a D80 (and a Canon G10 that goes everywhere with me). You can see a few of my photos on flickr: flickr.com/photos/labaronesa.

BTW...for those of you interested in the dollar/yen exchange, when I lived in Japan the US dollar was worth 220 yen. Times have certainly changed.
