Anyway, you guys set and enforce the rules.

The police if you like to call it, are Admin and our Moderators, and without posted rules how would they moderate, by their gut feeling. Don't you think that if I posted a S&M picture (or something similar) that someone here on NR should have the power to do something, we are growing and with growth, rules are needed otherwise everything will end up falling apart

And like in my other Thread the picture posting need to be done in better way, as it is now there are to any gaps between pictures and nearly impossible to go back and find a picture that you have seen a few weeks ago

Niko - are You reading my mind :)

seba316 - if You don't like my comments than just skip them, some time ago we agreed on something and my role as a mod is to keep this forum clean and tidy; BTW: as for the banning post, it was with ":)" at the end, despite the fact how could I ban another mod. As for slapping someone in the face... well, I prefer to be more direct, not to mention the fact that it wasn't me who was writing about snapping someone in the face.

Niko, maybe because I live where I live I believe strongly in the freedom of the speech, so if seba has this kind of opinion about my posts, it's his/her right. The only thing I can say is, that it's always easier to criticize/watch than act.

Hey well uh maybe adam would STILL want to see a bunch of shirtless, sweaty guys, rolling around in the mud trying to catch their balls.... you know cause he likes Sports & Men Rugby pictures or something :^)

Don't worry adamz I'll ban bmxdad AND seba316 for ya ;^)

Just kidding seba316 but I really think we should ban bmxdad for posting too many topics in one day ;^) He's trying to beat my record :^(

See that's your problem here you don't have any posting rules to justify banning somebody incl poor old me, that was I think the point of this thread before we got talking about sweaty rugby guys

Seriously though you can't play a game of football (soccer) without marking the field. For the most part everyone plays nicely here, but there is a reason the rules topic keeps popping up. Once there is (or isn't) a rule that states all pictures must be 800 X whatever, then the large pictures and complaining will continue :^(

I agree that you need some basic rules, but I don't think it is necessary to have someone telling you that your posts were deleted because you went off topic... What I like about this forum is that it is like having a conversation, and when you talk you go off topic... and that is good!

I like your photography posts.

But I think you take the issue of "clean and tidy" too seriously. For example, the best part of the "one picture a month" threads are the comments and discussion that come after an interesting picture is posted. Don't understand why some want to ban those... it may not be "nice and tidy" but it interesting (even if it is the picture that Niko posted about the moon!!).

Apart from the spammers, I haven't seen much that deserves being "moderated". Well, maybe Niko's obsession with Brad Pitt...

Everybody seems to have missed my other post so I'll say it again here:

How about we make a flickr pool for the PAD? That way picture navigation will be easy, and all comments will be directly under that photo. How's that sound?

I still think pictures would flow better if comments and pics info are only showed in an area that can expand, like how you comment on flickr

BTW This does not have to happen tomorrow, but ideas for how to deal with posting pictures if and when we are 3 - 4 - 5,000 members, properly app a year from now

You need a flickr account to comment on photos from flickr. I think a big majority here are flickr users, but not everyone wants to sign up to flickr just to comment on how bad your photos are alpha :^)
