I'm one of them :-) ??? It's not actually to do with the Canon/Nikon rivalry is it? And if so, what has that got to do with Land Rover? Or is it because they have different models as well..........no you better explain it to me, this add wouldn't work in the U.K.

On a complete side note, how is Land Rover received around the world, especially in the most Patriotic country I know?

It is a put on.... the commercial has multiple "continuity breaks" in that when the angle changes, the entire scene has changed... look at it and figure out the placement and angle of the Nikon 400mm on the tripod, then look at the last scene....

But, it is an interesting commercial...I do not think I would drive around with my 400 sitting in the front seat without a cover on it nor without having it fastened in its case... but, what the heck...

@SkintBrit - You don't have to understand it, it's target towards american market not european one ;)

@msmoto - analysing deeply the commercial, one can assume that canon shooters are smarter as they use cases to transport the lenses :)

what you need is proper Rand Lover ( the 90 is best ) with a padded cuddy box, between the two found seats

for Pro video look how the Top Gear Rang rover is adapted

OK, a little confession...I do drive around the race course with the D4 on the back of the 400 with the TC-20EIII attached as the overall length is too long for the soft case. But, it all sits partially in the soft case and the case is secured in the front seat, lens cover on lens. And this is in a Smart fortwo. Or Smart forone plus gear.

And, about that Canon shooters being smarter than Nikon....mmm it was the Nikon shooter who had his lens cap on at the Olympics.... Maybe the Nikon shooters have worse hangovers....

They're both driving vehicles that cost them $300 a week in gas to get pictures of ugly birds. They both lose.

    :)

I get it.....The Canon guy toots his horn and causes the Nikon shooter to miss a good shot of the bird. It's about jealousy and envy, right.

Assuming you're right, what on earth has that got to do with Land Rovers? Oh it's no use, I give up, way too subliminal for me.

Maybe as Sigmund Freud is reported to have said, "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" the commercial is about two RangeRover models and both go up hills off road.... kinda like a Jeep only at three times the cost, ha, ha, ha..... Oh, the gas is about the same, though....
