Hello everyone,
Just bought this lovely lens. Any other owners use a filter on it (as protection only) and, if so, any recommendations? Price not really a concern (within limits!).

First, please do a forum search before posting a thread. This lens is discussed in this thread:

Second, I use a Hoya UV from B & H on mine... about $20 USD. And I see not degradation of image quality on either a D90 or D4. If you want to spend a lot of money, get a Nikon clear NC filter for about $50 USD.
And finally, this is a sweet lens...on either format!
