I was a bit disappointed when I discovered that the D800 does not have a simple wireless remote option, even my D7000 has this option. I thought everything was wireless these days.

There is a wireless remote for the D800 and all pro bodies that use the 10 pin connector, the ML-3 (not to be mistaken for the ML-L3).
