Since Halloween is coming up I thought it would be fun if we shared some "paranormal" photos or videos.
This was not taken by me but still very freaky?!

So you specialize in paranormal film processing? Do we get an NR forum discount for sending our ghosts on film to you? ;^)

Dont know if you can actually see ghosts in film/digital but I am sure I have "seen" stuff. My family seems to have a history of seeing things. I found that out when at my dads funeral a couple of years ago, one of his old friends told a story about my granddad's "fight" with a "spirit".

When I was a kid, before my teen years, me and my brothers used to "play" with "ghosts". We didn't know any better we were children. It was just natural for us. We saw them, we chased them all around the house. ( We lived in an old house which some say was haunted, we only found that out later when we were older.)

There really is something more than the physical. Most people I know have had first or second hand experience of "unusual" phenomenon.

It was some of these phenomenon that brought me to realise the reality of God and his ... ( cant find a word .. Glorious Awesomeness?)

Still who knows if its possible to photograph these things.. Maybe the D3S can do it ? :-)

u guys are freaking me out. . .maybe I'm just ignorant to these things. . .i can see it though, we would be ignorant to think that we're the only rational creatures in the universe. . .(or irrational, like my wife). . .

@ shivaswrath : LOL Women are seriously unfathomable. i used to think I knew how women think.. (I did do a lot of research on it!) But I now know its really an impossible undertaking ... Seriously!..

With regard to the spritual phenomenon.. I find it curious that people just dont talk about it. May be we fear being ridiculed.. (like asking what aperture priority does to the back ground and why is that important ! Or worst asking what that "running man" on mode dial thing is for! :-) LOL )

@bmxdad : Yeah we do tend to see things in smoke just like looking at clouds, our eye "want" to make sense of random shapes. and usually its facial features or body shapes that the eye builds from these random shapes.

For some odd reason, the videos don't work for me...?

But no, I've never taken a picture of a ghost, but I've had my 52mm Tiffen filter ghost on me plenty of times. Probably because it's just damn cheap and I use it as a transparent lens cap.

Sounds like the Honeymoon's over eh Shiva? :^) Hang in there, before you know it She'll change YOU and you'll stop resisting her and you'll be fine with it ;^) My wife doesn't have me "whipped", I just agree with her so I can live longer :^)

NSX I think a ghost is in your computer, WATCH OUT!

Heartyfisher you spent your childhood playing with ghost and didn't even know it?! Sounds like a plot to a Disney movie.

I've actually had a few paranormal experiences myself (no Pete I wasn't smoking anything) but I'll save it for a later post as it's kinda long so stay tune.

OK the D3S party is kinda fizzing out so I'll sit down and type my "encounter":

One day at work I was sitting in my office. Down the hall (about two doors) there was a very old antique Grandfather clock that was just part of the decor. It had always been there and never worked or made a sound in the 4 years prior that I worked in that office.

That day there was a big meeting that I was lucky, or in this case unlucky, not to have attended. I took advantage of the peace and quiet to catch up on some reports when all of a sudden the clock started going off! It just started going off, ding-dong, ding-dong! I walked out of my office thinking someone was playing around with it and had set it off. I went up to it and observed all the moving parts as it kept ringing. The clock was in a locked case so no one could have just opened it up and set the alarm.

The office area I worked in was a secure facility so no one could have walked in and tampered with the clock without me hearing them come in! However I looked around in the other offices anyway to see if someone had come back from the meeting, but no! I went back to the clock and it was still ringing and then I noticed a small plaque at the base. It said the clock was a donation in memory of a war veteran who die in Vietnam and never made it home. I was shocked at the last line of the inscription. The young man's birthday was the same day as that day!

A shiver ran up my back and I was just floored. Then after what seemed like 5 minutes the clock stopped ringing! None of my coworkers believed me when I told them the story. I worked in that office for another 2 years and never heard the clock ring again. I have no idea of what the significance of that day was other than it was his birthday, but I waited the following year to see if it happened again and it never did.

    Very strange!

:-) Sorry Nikodoby, But I don't believe you ... I guess thats another problem with owning up to a "special" experience. Its hard for people to believe it unless they were there.. There are also lots of people who will just play the fool and tell "ghost stories". Oh well... However, I assure you my experiences are as stated.

I lived in a haunted house in Washingtonville, NY, in the Hudson River Valley in 1970. Mentioned this to my wife a few years ago and she was skeptical. Then she and I went to Cambodia and stayed in the new Sofitel closest to Ankor Wat, and close to killing fields. She hardly slept from the sense of others in the room. Later she was informed by the staff that they had brought in monks from Thailand to deal with this issue because they were considered more powerful than the local monks, but they didn't think it had worked either. Now she believes my earlier stories. Until you experience things like this, you don't believe in them.

Interesting that you've had experiences but you don't believe mine heartyfisher?! Well it happened the way I said. If you can explain why an old clock started ringing that had NEVER rung before or after then I'd like to hear your theory? I've got more experiences that have happened to me but I guess I'll save it since nobody will believe me anyway :^(

It had never rung in the 4 years prior nor did it ever ring the following 2 years I worked there. The following years I waited for something to happen and nothing. I even asked coworkers who had been there 10+ years and they said it had never worked or rung before! I asked who had a key to open the case and nobody did.

I even checked with building maintenance and security and they all thought the clock was broken since it never did anything. This was a secure office area so access was restricted and there was a video camera in that hallway but it was above the clock and facing away from it and it did not record sound!

I really don't care if you guys don't believe me :^( I know what I saw and it was the strangest thing. And no bmxdad, I wasn't smoking anything!

Hey Niko .. sorry for making you pout :-) but I seems to me that you could be one who would have some fun and make this up. Maybe I am just too skeptical.. as I have seen some really nicely crafted "Ghost Stories".

Go on do tell more.. I too have some reall doozies .. Some told to me by friends.. others are just well crafted "stories" May be I can tell some and you can try to guess which are real and which are made up !?

Nah I'm not interested in hearing made up stories. I watch TV for that. Let's not make this a contest.
Yes I like goofing around with you guys, but as you know hearty my faith in a higher power is very strong and to me ghost stories are an extension of that. What we can't always "see" or not believe in shouldn't be readily dismissed as nonsense.

But my dad and I are in this together, so I'm sure we could budget a few extra lenses here and there!
