I have had the same exact problem with my nikon d7000, i have bought it 2 weeks ago and was filming outside then walked inside and all of the sudden there were 3 yellow bars across the screen. when i shot photos they went away but when i filmed in video mode they came back, and stayed there. i shut the camera off and let it sit and they eventually went away but this problem scares me.

as stated earlier it is the lights. freaked me out too until i knew what it was.

the frequencies are typically 50hz or 60hz. For 50 hz you need to shoot 1/100 or faster. The is so that you can catch the light from the dimmest point to the brightest point in a cycle. 1/50 or faster would capture a whole cycle and therefore be best.

with 60hz it is 1/125 or faster for the same reasons.

look up the frequency in your area. japan has mixtures of both for different areas.
