    Hey guys,

There are any news around about the Nikon D5200?
I consider to wait till the D5200 will anounce or just buy a D5100.

Hope to hear great news about the D5200 ;)

The 5100 is about a year old, so given the past cycles of closer to 2 years, I didn't expect a new one, so I bought a D5100 this spring. I did expect the D3200, which has come and expect a D7100 first.

But these are just guesses, of course. The D5100 is a great camera with a great sensor, plus there are now good deals/rebates on it and lenses. I don't think you can go wrong.

You can get used D5100 for ~$450-$500 and brand new around $550. It seems like a steal. With the rebates and price reduction though I imagine an update sooner then later. IMO I would buy a D5100 now and then wait for an upgrade in the future.

I'm surprised that the D5200 has the same AF as the D7000. So I assume the new D7100 or whatever might actually get the 51 pt AF passed down to it eventually from the D800/D4. Perhaps the D5 may actually get some weird hybrid AF system like the 1 series and go mirrorless. :D

Still, it's not magnesium or has dual dials, so I'm not that interested in it. And I also definitely do not need 24 mp.
