This is a query to those who are fortunate enough to get their hands on at least two of the three bodies listed above. The easiest way to handle this is to request initially that those who are able to actually use the identical lens on both bodies, shoot the identical scene with both bodies, exposure, ISO, etc, identical, and then post the same size on such as Flickr with a link to the images. I would suggest on Flickr, a size for the images of 3000 x 4500 px so as to see the same size enlargement.
It would be fine to place a thumbnail here but lets not create a bunch of photos, rather the links to the huge images posted elsewhere.
The idea is to be able to open a couple windows and really look at the images critically. Also, post processing should be identical. No brush work, just copy settings from one and paste on another if adjustments are desired.
The idea is to eliminate all variables except for the actual resolution of the camera body. And if no one has both bodies, I will try to borrow one from a friend who has a D800E.
This is not really the thread for subjective discussions of the differences except as to refer to an image and the differences.
If there is a comparison out in cyberspace, a "real life" usage comparison, let's hear about it. Not lab tests, but real user's experience. Thanks
