Eric, beautiful tree. Trees as subjects intrigue me, but are difficult to capture.
Rx4, spectacular sunrise.
Corelli, great conversion to B&W.
Amvj, you have captured a nice pose of the peacock.
Rijqi, good use of light on the portrait. Will be looking forward to your posts once you start up again.
Benji, I like the way you have composed the image of the lighthouse, with the rocks leading the eye to it.
And msmoto, I don't know exactly what is started when pushed, but my suspicion is that it is something that goes fast!
Here is mine for today:

This is an Intentional Camera Movement photo. Not to everyone's taste this kind of shot but I kind of like it.
The camera and settings are fairly irrelevant apart from it was hand held at 1.3"Posted 10 months ago # -
Thanks Eric, love the wind blown storm tree! Great dramatic clouds formations overhead as well :)Rifqi, Jeju is a photographers paradise. My brother has really made a name for himself down there. There are a lot of other great spots around the pennisula as well to capture great images. Bring some cash too, one of the best camera districts in the world is here. At least top 5 possibly behind, New York, Hong Kong, London and maybe Japan. I've been to each one and prefer Korea's camera shops. Amazing used selection and products always hit the shelves first. For example, there are already used D800 bodies popping up for $2750! It quickly sold though..

Beautiful all.

Thanks, Yetibuddha. You shot those Balsamroot from a neat perspective. I've got to try that sometime.
These photos are all interesting. Great diversity. Here's my "nosey" shot for the week. Photoshoot in progress. Probably a high school senior. The camera was definitely Nikon. Unmistakable yellow/black strap.

My D7000 worked really well last night shooting Kellie Pickler in daylight but when Randy Travis took the stage in night light it failed (noise) me bigtime. Guess I'll be getting a D800 next week.

@kanuck: nice one, but I am not sure if this really is an invitation to a zoo or if it says "stay where you are" :)
@elvishefer: same goes for you. I always like your B&W work here on PAD.Mine for today:

She's so sweet... met her last year on leave in Phoenix at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar And Grill. Really great with the military community too.

benji2505, I agree, I usually want a bit of shadow in my portraits to give them more shape.
Thanks Yetibuddha, I'm hoping to shoot something decent this weekend.
kanuck, you just gave me another bunch of reasons to make Korea top priority :p Still saving up for our next trip to Indonesia though, it's difficult when half the family is on the other side of the world.
OnTheRopes, kind of cool shot, I would be interested to see what kind of look you could get with that technique combined with some rear curtain flash, I have an image of a long haired woman in white night gown bouncing around in my mind :p

It is the Fourth of July in the USA
I love the stuff above. The "photo shoot" looks interesting, especially as she is standing on something I think could drop her to the ground, camera to the sand, UGH! And, where is the 4 foot by 6 foot reflector for the fill? Just kidding...
And Bland continues with the celebrities.... always nice. Elvishefer...nice B & W, and the colors, abstracts, architecture and kids.... a pleasure being here!

WoW....great shots: boemboem, noxin, tcole1983, Correlli....love the composition.
@ OnTheRopes: great camera work...keep them coming...and the BW add lots of character to shot....well done mate.
@ elvishefer: Now I want to get my feet wet too :P
@ Eric...amazingly sharp picture. The details on the tree and the manner in which chose to take the picture is fantastic. +1Here is mine for the day.

Nice ones. Tcole I was waiting for a longer exposure. The carnival is a great place to practice these types of images, particularly just as dusk is ending. They make for nice, rich colors.
