So I have back to back weddings this weekend. I shot yesterday's with a few problems with 1 of my d7ks (I have 2). The problem I was having was the camera not writing to the second card slot(yes it's set correctly.) now today getting ready for today's wedding I was reformatting the cards on this d7k and I started receiving card errors in slot 1. It would do this for any cards I put in it. When I take each card out te error would stay. There have been times where the number of pictures left would come up like it normally would when you insert the card and then when I take the card back out the amount of pictures left would stay there even if both cards out. I am fairly good at troubleshooting and for the life of me I can't figure it out. I am running 1.02 and 1.03 firmware. I noticed another firmware update came out recently- would the new firmware help out even though it seems only for lens distortion?

I have the same problem with my 2nd D7000 I bought a couple of weeks ago. Referring to the problem it won't write to the 2 card.

I just noticed my menu screen on that camera has shifted about 10 degrees since using it last night.

I don't have an answer to your problem, just wanted you to know you're not having an isolated incident.
