The title says it all.
No matter how many pics I put a check mark on, when I go to hit delete it will only remove ONE picture. Why? How to remedy the situation? Thanks.
Nikon Transfer - Will only delete pics one at a time on my CoolPix camera.

Do you have the option checked that says delete after transfer? Do yo have the newest version of the software and newest firmware if there are any? Either way there should be a way to delete all in the camera menus.

No, I don't have the option checked of 'Delete after transfer' because I don't neccesarily WANT to delete ALL my pics from my camera/disc, just a selection.
Yes, I have the latest Nikon Transfer update. The only option I see in the camera menu is to delete ALL of the pics.Posted 10 months ago # -
Hmm...not sure. I haven't tried it, but maybe I will mess around with mine when I get home. I have some pics on my camera I need to delete anyway.

I've got a call in to Nikon Tech support (email actually)we'll see where that leads.
Through searching it out on the web I see that others have the same problem and it seems like you're able to delete the images (all or 'selected') on the CAMERA but NOT through the computer (Nikon Transfer). What a bunch of crap.Posted 10 months ago # -
Figured it out.
You need to actually click on the pictures and not just the check box. When you click on the pictures it will kind of highlight the picture...when you hit delete after that it will delete any picture you have selected. I think the check box is only a function of the transferring. Notice when you hit select all it will highlight all and then if you hit delete it will delete all the pics.
Good luck.

And a tip of the hat to you good sir. You nailed it!
Rhetorically speaking, why the hell is there a check box then? When you check several pics and then the delete icon you get a pop-up window that states:
'Currently SELECTED photoS will be removed from the camera. The removed PHOTOS (more than 1) cannot be recovered. Do you want to continue?'
And too, why would only the LAST pic get deleted when checking the boxes?Irregardless you did a great job and I appreciate not having to pull any more hair out of my head. I also enjoyed your zoo pics on Flickr.
Be well.

Np. Yeah I have no idea. Seems strange to have multiple ways of selecting them.
Thanks!
