My D700 has a Zagg_ shield screen protector for the LCD screen. My glasses, hanging on my shirt scratched the plastic protector that came with it. Those that have the d800, have you purchased an LCD protector similar to the shield? I rented a camera that had a really completely smooth protector. Didn't get the name. Any ideas?

Why not replace it with another Zagg_ There are many clear plastic shields on the market which work and when scratched, we simply replace the shield.

I am using matt iPad shield cut to fit the screens on D800 and D4, I do like that it's not glossy, much easier to see the screen when shooting outdoors.

Yes, you can do as Jyri suggests and use any film type screen protector from another device, and just cut it to size (the ones meant for sat nav's are usually only a bit too big), or do a search of the forum and you'll see we have discussed the various 'bespoke' options previously. For the record, I swear by Giotto's glass ones.
